Paris Regional Medical Center is now a Chest Pain Center with PCI Accreditation.
Once again, Paris Regional Medical Center is leading the way in lifesaving healthcare advances for this community. As of July 1, 2015, The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care has designated Paris Regional Medical Center as a Chest Pain Center with PCI accreditation, a certification process that encompasses the entire continuum of cardiac care — from dispatchers and EMS personnel to PRMC’s Emergency Department, Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs.
The goal is singular: To save lives by reducing the time from a heart attack’s earliest symptoms to its proper diagnosis and treatment.
The benefits are many:
- Patients receive timely treatment during critical early stages of a heart attack
- Patients receive improved monitoring processes that ensure proper diagnosis
- Patients receive more accurate and effective treatment to preserve heart muscle
- Patients receive the right care at the right time to minimize heart damage
In short, patients receive better care, faster diagnosis and more accurate treatment, which improves outcomes and saves lives. Once again, Paris Regional Medical Center is demonstrating its commitment to this community by providing extraordinary cardiac care close to home.
