The Women and Children’s Center at Paris Regional Medical Center offers you and your loved ones the opportunity for a family-centered birth experience. We offer advanced obstetric services. We know that each birth is special, and, in order to provide a relaxing atmosphere, all of our Labor and Delivery rooms are private.

Paris Regional Medical Center is the hospital of choice when it comes to women’s health. We offer women’s healthcare services with experience of the area’s finest obstetricians, gynecologists, and pediatricians. Our skilled nursing staff also contributes to the quality of care that you will receive at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Level 1 (Basic) NICU

Our Level I (basic) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit includes a hospital nursery organized with the personnel and equipment to perform the following care of newborns:

  • neonatal resuscitation
  • evaluate and provide postnatal care of healthy newborn infants
  • stabilize and provide care for infants born at 35 to 37 weeks’ gestation who remain physiologically stable
  • stabilize newborn infants born at less than 35 weeks gestational age, or ill infants, until transfer to a facility that can provide the appropriate level of neonatal care.


Childbirth Education Class

We want to ensure that new moms get the adequate education and guidance they need when having a baby. At Paris Regional Medical Center we offer a childbirth class for expecting moms. Class instruction includes information about the stages of labor and birth, breathing and relaxation techniques, and newborn care.

Women’s and Children’s Hospital Visiting Hours

Antepartum: The primary support person may visit at any time. Visitor’s children under the age of 12 are discouraged on the unit.

Labor: We suggest no more than 3 support people may be present during the labor process.

Delivery: During the deliver phase, you will be allowed 2 support people. If you have a cesarean birth, 1 support person will be allowed with the approval of a physician or anesthesiologist. Siblings may visit during the general visiting hours. Other children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit in the Labor and Delivery Rooms

Establishment of Paternity

Texas 10 Step Certified

The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in collaboration with the Texas Hospital Association developed the Texas Ten Step Program in 1999 as a method to improve maternity care practices in birthing facilities. Learn more >>
